How to remove your account

How do I remove my resident account?

Please follow the following steps to remove your account from the resident app. Please note that there are two parts to this process, the first will remove your account via archive, and the second will remove your account permanently through deletion.

Only consider removing your resident account if you no longer require access to the features and functions of the app or have moved on from that community.

Account archiving

This is the first step and required before an account will be deleted. Please follow the following steps:

  1. Consider whether you still require your account or anything within your account.

    1. Save this information externally as you will not be able to access it once your account has been archived.

  2. Email your strata manager to formally request your resident app account be archived.

    1. You can typically find their contact information by looking in the app at Site Information > Site Contacts.

  3. Sign-out of your app account and comply with any instruction your strata manager provides.

If the app does not have contact information, we recommend you Google the name of the strata management company (your committee should know who this is) and find contact information on their website.

Once your account is archived, none of your data will appear in the resident app and you will be unable to sign-into the app or resident portal to view this. Administrators may still be able to view your archived account, and there is an option to restore it should you wish to resume usage of the app.

Account deletion

There may be cases where you desire all your data to be permanently deleted from the app.

Deletion is permanent and cannot be reversed.

To have your account permanently deleted please follow these steps:

  1. Consider whether you still require your account or anything within your account.

    1. Save this information externally as you will not be able to access it once your account has been archived.

  2. Follow the steps above to have your account archived.

  3. Formally request via email to the strata management company to submit to resvu a request to permanently delete your data.

  4. Please allow 1-5 business days for action to be taken once resvu receive the request.

Once your account is deleted, none of your data will exist in the system anymore - you cannot access or retrieve it and neither can administrators for the account.
