Create a Site Inspection Template in FM Link

To Create a Site Inspection Template requires 3 things:

  1. Create a Location

  2. Create a Location with a Checklist

  3. Create a Inspection Template with Locations with Checklists

This article will go through what each section looks like and explain which fields require lists to be populated and their location.

Create a Location

To Create a Location go to Inspector > Inspection Editor > Click Manage Locations

Adding Locations

"Locations" that were created in the Location Tag List section will appear in this list.

Otherwise to create a location by clicking + Add

Create a Location with a Checklist

Once the Location has been created click the + Add Template button to add the Checklist Template to the location.

Details

Fill out the details of the location template

Checklist Items

Click on What to do.. to expand the Checklist Item, fill out the information and if required click the Plus to add another Checklist Item.

Answers

there are 3 options for a Checklist Item, "Pass", "Fail" and "N/A". They are customisable so change the text if required.

Asset

If the inspection is related to a particular asset, it can be linked in the Link to asset section.

Create a Inspection Template with Locations with Checklists

To Create a Inspection Template once the Locations with Checklists have been created, go to Inspector > Inspection Editor > Click + New Template

Details

Fill in the Details of the Site Inspection Template and click Next

Location

Next choose a location and press the Plus to add to the Template. Note that only locations with checklists will be visible. Once selected it will provide a list of all locations selected. Once all locations are selected click Next

Review

Review shows all information about the Site Inspection Template as well as the Check List items associated with each location. When everything is correct click Save

The Inspection Template will now appear in Inspector > Start an Inspection
